About the LBAP

Work on Torbay's LBAP has been intermittent in recent years. Initial work in 1996/7 established a partnership and agreed the priority habitats and species for Torbay. These are detailed below.

We have carried out more detailed work on individual Habitats or Species Plans, drawing together working groups to address these. To date we have prepared individual plans for Lowland Calcareous Grassland and Marine Habitats (including Seagrass beds, Intertidal, Sublittoral and Seabirds)

The partnership is now being reformed, under the aegis of the Torbay Environment Forum, to produce a comprehensive LBAP for Torbay.
