| About the LBAP The Cotswold Water Park is a unique and special place; an area of freshwater lakes, larger than the Norfolk broads, on the Gloucestershire/Wiltshire border. It is nationally and possibly internationally important for wildlife and one of the largest and most popular freshwater sports centres in Britain. It is also the most important gravel extraction site in the South West with just over 2 million tonnes of gravel being extracted per year. In 1997 the Joint Committee contracted its managerial responsibility within the park to the Cotswold Water Park Society Ltd, whilst retaining its role of providing the strategic overview for the development of the Park. A LBAP has just been written and is available in full by clicking on the logo (right).
