Regional Spatial Strategy and Joint Study Areas

South West Biodiversity Implementation Plan

Published in 2004, this provides a co-ordinated programme of actions for delivering biodiversity conservation across the Region over the next 10 years. The plan contributes to the implementation of the South West Environment Strategy and the Biodiversity Strategy for England. It supports the work of the South West Biodiversity Action Plan by looking at how biodiversity interacts with the following sectors:
  • Farming and Food
  • Water and Wetlands
  • Woodland and Forestry
  • Towns, Cities and Development
  • Coastal and Marine environment

In putting together the Natural Advantage booklet, one of the hardest tasks of the South West Regional Biodiversity Partnership's hardest tasks was selecting which case studies to include - our apologies to all those we could not find space for.
