EU LIFE funding
The European Commission has announced the latest funding round under its LIFE programme. The Commission is seeking applications for projects aiming at the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora ofCommunity and (for candidate countries only) international interest and for demonstration projects which contributeto the development of innovative and integrated techniques and methods, and to the further development ofCommunity environment policy. The deadline for applications to the relevant national authorities is the 30thSeptember 2005.

Wiltshire BAP Newsletter June 2005

SWBIP Indicators
The SWBIP sector working groups will be responsible for organising the monitoring of indicators within their own sector and feeding back on progress to the monitoring group. Each sector group will confirm their indicators by October 2005. Sector groups will complete the table in the SWBIP Indicators paper (Towns, Cities & Development is included as an example). If you would like input to any sector please let Heather Sohl know.
The SITA Enriching Nature Programme is now open for applications!
Deadline for the first round of applications 23 August 2005. Application forms and information on how to apply is available from the SITA Environmental Trust website at www.sitatrust.org.uk/nature.

Cotswolds AONB Sustainable Development Fund launched
The Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) is a new grant scheme which supports projects that bring environmental, social and economic benefits to the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It aims to develop and test new methods of achieving a more sustainable way of life in this area of great beauty and diversity. Download guidelines for applicants here.

UK Biodiversity Partnership Conference 2005

The conference organisers will be producing a CD as feedback from the conference. This will be available through the SWRBP once it is ready.
